The sixth Liquid Matter Conference will take place in 2005 at Utrecht University in The Netherlands. Previous conferences were held in Lyon (1990), Firenze (1993), Norwich (1996), Granada (1999) and Konstanz (2002). This series of meetings is organised by the Liquids Section of the Condensed Matter Division of the European Physical Society.
The conference will start on Saturday, 2 July 2005, in the morning and finish on Wednesday, 6 July, in the afternoon. The aim of the conference is to bring together scientists working on the liquid state of matter. This rapidly growing field includes the physics, chemistry, biology and chemical engineering of liquid matter as well as various applied research areas in the chemical, pharmaceutical, food and oil industries.
The conference will consist of plenary lectures, topical symposia and poster sessions. Contributed papers will be selected to be presented as posters or as oral presentations within the symposia.
